ENTRY 2021

This little piggy stayed at home

Painted during first lockdown and was part of a series of animal portraits – my wife asked if it was a self portrait but piggy is definitely more handsome!

This painting has been accepted into the Leisure Painter category for 2021 Patchings exhibition and was awarded the Daler Rowney watercolour prize.

Long Way Down

Long way down was accepted and awarded the Patchings award in the 2020 Patchings/leisure Painter exhibition.

This was painted from a lockdown challenge set by a painting friend.

Shut that door

Shut that door accepted into Leisure Painter category 2019 Patchings exhibition.

Painted while convalescing after breaking the 5th meta- tarsal right foot “ouch!”

ENTRY 2018

Inner Reflections

Inner reflections was accepted into the 2018 Patchings Leisure Painter Exhibition and was awarded the Saunders Waterford prize – it was a studio painting and an exercise in using a limited palette.

ENTRY 2017

The Meeting Felixstowe Ferry

This painting was completed on site at Felixstowe Ferry during a painting week at Dedham Hall.

Completed the painting with two minutes to spare before the heavens opened and we were forced (that’s right – FORCED) to retire to the Ferryboat inn for fish n’ chips and a pint.
